Donate a Bus
To ensure that every student is given the opportunity to attend the Expo, we are asking businesses and community members to assist us with providing buses for our students.
With over 1500 students preparing to attend this event; we anticipate that a significant portion of the Expo's budget will have to be used to pay for buses, limiting our ability to provide our students with the most engaging and informative experience possible.
With your help, we can cover transportation fees that will be well over $25,000, without sacrificing the high quality experience we have planned for our students.
To donate, please click the “Register” button on the Expo Eventbrite page and select “Bus Donation” as your ticket type. You have the ability to donate as much or as little as you like. Any donated amount is appreciated.
Sponsor the Event
The Expo is part of a broader strategy to work with employers throughout the year to educate students about great careers and the skills required to be successful in the workplace. The High School Linked Learning Office at Oakland Unified develops career- learning experiences for students including career exploration days, mentorship programs, internships, mock interviews and classroom presentations.
Your sponsorship helps pay for Expo expenses, which total well over $100,000. This includes the facility rental, booths, personnel, along with breakfast and lunch for attendees. Our expense budget also includes significant funds to help high schools cover the costs of student transportation and substitute teachers.

Host a Summer Intern
OUSD Summer Pathway Internship Programs (formerly ECCO) are highly intentional internship experiences in which students and host sites benefit from the ongoing coaching and support of a teacher from the student's school.
Students participate in weekly seminars to reflect on and plan their work, and the experience culminates with a formal presentation of student learning. Hundreds of 11th grade students in OUSDs career pathways are preparing for summer internships now!
It is deeply gratifying for adult mentors and life changing for students!
